I think what you said made a lot of sense. However, what about this? suppose you added a little information? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, however what if you added a title that grabbed a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little boring. You should look at Yahoo's home page and see how they write news headlines to grab people to click. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to grab people excited about what you've got to say. Just my opinion,
